Who Am I? - Well, I have told y
ou a lot about me in my previous post, but I feel like I can never cover everything! I'm basically addicted to my computer. I feel a compulsion to constantly check my e-mail. I can't lie, I'm looking forward to the day when I can afford a blackberry just so I can always check my e-mail. I have my firefox completely customized and I can't stand other computers that aren't configured just the way I like 'em!
I was just with my friend tonight and she was talking about how she watched 3 movies today cuz she felt like being lazy! Uh, not me! My idea of fun leisure time is surfing the net for hours. Facebook takes up WAY too much of my time, it's an addiction that my generation faces! haha. :) I work at the computer helpdesk up at school, so I am basically the walking source of computer information for my friends. I don't always know the answers, but a little big of Googling goes a long way. I always wonder why people just don't Google their computer problems themselves -- I have never had a question that I couldn't find an answer to through Google, forums, or Yahoo! Answers.

This is the problem with a lot of people my age. They need constant motivation from other people, like their parents. Growing up, my parents never gave me money for a good report card. They taught me that getting the good grades for myself was satisfaction enough, and that someday those grades would pay off whenever I could have my choice of colleges. They taught me a valuable lesson. I motivate myself. I am constantly thinking up ideas for a business. I have a little notebook where I write them all down -- I've got some pretty good ideas so far! One other thing that motivates me is my experience in past jobs. I spent 2 years working at Wendy's (oh the stories I could tell) as well as many years lifeguarding and I realize that jobs like that are way way way too much work for not nearly enough pay. I also lifeguarded at a ritzy country club and saw entirely too many miserable rich people. Money is not motivation -- I am motivation. I try to live by the words at the top of my page ... "Dream, Desire, DO."
Why Should You Hire Me? I have an extremely solid grip on the English language. In High School, I was copy editor for the school newspaper for 2 years. I'm sure you have noticed, but nothing looks worse than a business that has something spelled wrong on their sign...it makes me cringe! I am responsible, motivated, and driven. Above all, I am honest. I have a strong faith. I pay for my own expenses, which has taught me valuable skills for the real world. Overall, I feel like I am a very well rounded person. I am just the right balance of tech-savvy and outgoing! I'm a great communicator and people relate to me easily. I used to have a blog on Wordpress and I once made a post about the woes of being a poor college student. I got such positive responses and people really enjoyed my post! I love to laugh and I laugh liberally. I have worked since age 15 and I really enjoy keeping busy. I have met so many great people through work. I guess the biggest thing about me is that I'm just so excited for life. I'm so excited for my future! Nothing is going to hold me back. If that isn't determination, I don't know what is!
Oh, and it's really driving me nuts how the "Name My Vote" Widget is not fitting in the sidebar. Grrr! I need to go in and mess with the HTML!
